Does Size Really Matter? 6 Happy Inches Say Yes!

“Does Size Really Matter? The Wild Connection Between Penis Size and Infidelity

There’s probably no topic on gender more controversial, more emasculating than that of a man’s penis size. Well, if you doubt your endowment that is. The more endowed men like nothing more than to boast about their equipment size and all the satisfied partners they’ve left in their wake. Ask any random group of men what they would most like to change about themselves physically, and invariably, penis size would rank high on a very short list, no pun intended.

OK, that’s not true. The pun was intended, as are others to come, so brace yourselves. Interestingly, having a (relatively) small member, and thinking you have a small todger are largely one and the same to a guy. To make matters worse, there’s no one size fits all for women. Some women, well, long for the 12-inch poles, while others are perfectly happy with a pinky-sized tickler.

So what’s the deal exactly? This debate has gone on…, long enough. Does size really matter? Or not?!

The Research Rundown

Here’s the gist: A study conducted with fishermen’s wives in Kenya found a correlation between penis size and infidelity. And no, this wasn’t just a random excuse for people to gossip about their partners; it was a legitimate investigation into relationships and cheating behaviors. According to the findings, men with larger-than-average packages were more likely to have wives who cheated on them. Yes, you read that right—more likely.

Now, before you start wondering about the logistics and/or credibility of this study, let’s break it down a bit. First off, the study was published in PloS One, a highly reputable peer-reviewed academic journal. It covers original research across various disciplines including natural sciences, medical research, engineering, and social sciences. In other words, they not only take research seriously, they are themselves taken seriously!

What’s the Deal  – Does size really matter or not?!

Well, according to our resilient researchers, when it comes to intimacy, bigger isn’t always better. Apparently, some of the participants reported that larger sizes caused discomfort during intercourse, which potentially made them less satisfied in their relationships. It is this dissatisfaction that may explain why they sought intimacy elsewhere. Basically, the study turned the age-old locker-room bravado about “size” on its…, head. Turns out, the “bigger is better” mantra might not be universal after all.

But Wait, There’s More…, Too Much As It Turned Out

This isn’t just about physical discomfort. Some of the women participants also complained about their inability to fully express themselves in the other room. This was because the size of their husband’s member restricted the variations and different styles they would ordinarily have liked. Sex with a biggie was a more guided and er…, measured affair. Spontaneity was a no-no, as the potential for pain loomed ever…, larger, as the encounter continued.

Lessons to Take Home (and to the Bedroom)

  1. Size Isn’t Everything: It’s time to retire the obsession with measurements. OK, that’s much easier to say than actually believe. Unfortunately, society has made such an issue about penis size, most men think they could add a few more inches where they think it matters most. Yet, a healthy, happy relationship depends on mutual respect, communication, and understanding—not a ruler.
  2. Communication Is Key: If one partner feels dissatisfied (physically or emotionally), the solution isn’t necessarily to stray; it’s to talk about it. There are many many couples who have found creative ways round the issue – too big or too small. The use of appropriately sized sex toys for one thing. Though just how available sex toys are in a Kenyan fisherman community raises another issue entirely.
  3. Humor Helps: Let’s face it, the topic of penis size is loaded with performance pressures and insecurities. A little humor and light-heartedness can go a long way in breaking down these taboos.

Final Thoughts

Lets flip the script here…, gently – is it possible these women were simply being mischievous, using the opportunity to make their small-membered husbands feel better about themselves? Afterall, the participants identities were hidden, so who knows?

DOES SIZE REALLY MATTER?! Yes. It actually does matter. As with most things, there’s an optimum size, and therefore, there’s the sub par range as well. Whether you’re a fisherman in Kenya or a city dweller navigating Tinder dates. Your size is invariably relative. Relative to your intended partner. It’s really about what she likes and what she’s most comfortable with.

Once again we digress – does size really matter, and what is ideal? Around six inches apparently.

According to a 2015 study published in BJU International, the average erect penis length globally is approximately 5.16 inches and the average circumference is 4.59 inches. A 2017 study in The Journal of Sexual Medicine surveyed women and found that the “ideal” erect length for a long-term partner was 6.3 inches, slightly larger than the global average.

However, for casual relationships, women rated a slightly larger size as ideal—around 6.4 inches.

It seems, finally, it’s one up for the little guy. The much maligned runt of the litter. Well guess which cat’s got the milk in the end? It’s little Pee-wee!

Sadly, not even this wonderful, science-backed empirical find is going to make a guy feel better about his… shortcomings. It’s in the mind, and it almost never gets out, not even with the help of the most supportive partner.

Never mind what the wonderful women of Kenya had to contend with, it’s the fragile male ego that’s so huge and insurmountable.
