Child safety at Kinnect
Kinnect is an app for adults. It is published by KINNECT CODE. This page sets out our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation, and what we do if we find it.
Kinnect is for people 18 and over. We ask for a date of birth when someone signs up, and we close the sign-up if they are under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 is using Kinnect, we close their account.
What is never allowed. Any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child. That includes sexual images of anyone under 18, grooming, sextortion, and any attempt to contact a child through Kinnect. There are no exceptions, and it doesn't matter whether the content is real, drawn or generated.
What we do when we find it. We remove the content and close the account. We keep the evidence the law requires us to keep, and we report it to the authorities the law requires us to tell: the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre. We don't let the person know who reported them.
How to tell us. In the app, use Report on the person or the content, and a person at Kinnect reads every report. You can also email support@kinnectapp.net. If a child is in danger right now, call 112.
Who to contact about this policy. Tochukwu, at support@kinnectapp.net.
